Assante Connect uses CI Investment Services Inc. as its custodian, which means they are the institution that holds our client's assets. As a member of the Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada (IIROC) and the Canadian Investor Protection Fund (CIPF) which provides protection for your accounts in case of the custodians’ insolvency for up to $1 million per account type.
When you open an account with us you will also be asked to open an account with CI Investment Services Inc. which Assante Connect manages on your behalf. The account and assets within will always be owned by you and can only be transferred to and from your own bank account.
